The Circle Craft Christmas Market returns to the Vancouver Convention Centre West next week, running from November 9-13. Each week leading up to the Market, we have been featuring exhibiting artists.
Today we’re highlighting Banquet Atelier & Workshop of Vancouver, BC, who is new to the Market in 2016.
Banquet Atelier & Workshop is a Vancouver-based studio engaged in creating quality goods celebrating the natural world. Sarah Edmonds and Tammy Lawrence look to the super natural beauty of their surroundings and embellish generously with inspiration near and far: foraging for wild mushrooms, walks on the North Shore, trips to the Beatty Biodiversity Centre.
All of their products are conceived, designed, printed, and produced in Vancouver with a fine attention to affordability, environmental sustainability, and sharing a distinct beauty and uniqueness. They offer screen-printed signed and dated prints, stationery, textiles, and notebooks.
Current inspirations include forsynthia and quince blossoms, Ta-Nehisi Coates, rings on every finger, overprints, a giant salad with a poached egg on top, red and pink together, Edouard Vuillard, vintage kids’ clothing, cardboard sculpture, and cabins in the woods near the sea.
For more information, visit Banquet Atelier & Workshop’s website.
You’ll find Banquet Atelier & Workshop and hundreds of other exhibitors from across Canada at the Circle Craft Christmas Market.
